Edge Theatre Ensemble presents Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage and her
Children" in a modern translation by award-winning playwright David Hare.

Considered by many to be one of the greatest dramatic creations of the modern
stage, "Mother Courage and Her Children" is Bertolt Brecht's most passionate
and profound statement against war. The epic drama follows Mother Courage
as she attempts to achieve her goals of making a profit and keeping her
children alive through the blood and destruction of the Thirty Years War.

Time Out declares that David Hare's timely translation "bristles with gutsy
cynicism and is funny in the right, black comic way." Presenting Seattle actress
Betty Campbell in the title role and featuring new music by Andy Clawson
performed live, the Ensemble brings to life what Lillian Hellman called one of
the truly "great plays of our time."
